Collection contain Ted and DeFonda's various writings throughout the years. DeFonda kept a diary from 1916 to 1998. The collection also has many letters to and from various family members. Although Ted never kept a formal diary except while he was on his mission, his letters to children (mostly Bob and Rae Ann) essentially serve that purpose. The collection also contains photographs, appointment calendars, a tribute to Grandmother DeFonda Collier, and other ephemera. There are also some family history items. These include a record of the ancestors of DeFonda Dowdle Collier and some old diaries.
